Poetry Out Loud Competition Set for Nov. 10 at Curwensville

CURWENSVILLE – The public is invited to share in a night of poetry in the Curwensville Area Junior-Senior High School’s Leslie D. Leach Auditorium on Nov. 10 at 7 p.m.

The annual Poetry Out Loud recitation contest features local students looking to advance in this national scholarship contest.

Guest speakers for the evening will feature author T.J. Joseph and select Curwensville alumni.  Dr. Kirk Weixel and Dr. John Woznak of St. Francis University will preside as judges for the evening.

The event is sponsored by the Curwensville Area School District Literature Club in an effort to celebrate academics and the arts.

Prizes will be awarded and refreshments will be served at the event.  Admission to the event is free.
