Clearfield Borough
- Police arrested a male for public intoxication after he was allegedly located sleeping in a local park. He was allegedly found to be under the influence of alcohol, and he was transported to the CCJ, police said.
- Police received a report about a female who was allegedly harassed while she was inside a local business.
- Police responded to an alleged physical altercation along Zimmerman Avenue. During the incident, a male allegedly pushed another male and then left the scene. Neither male wanted to pursue any charges, police said.
- Police received a report about a check that was allegedly passed at a local business and returned from the bank. Police made contact with the business and learned that the person had responded and resolved the matter.
- Police responded to East Locust Street for a report about an alleged incident of harassment via text messages. Police spoke to both parties involved and handled the incident at the scene.
- Police responded to East Walnut Street for a noise complaint. Police checked the area and were unable to locate the noise.
- Police responded to Leavy Avenue for a suspicious person. Upon arrival police spoke to the person who was found to be OK and not engaged in any criminal behavior.
- Police are investigating an alleged theft of medication. Further, police said while the victim was not home, someone allegedly entered a lock box and removed her medication.
- Police assisted emergency personnel along East Market Street with a patient.
- Police responded to an East Pine Street residence to check the welfare of a female. Upon arrival police found that she was not home and at a sister’s residence.
- Police responded to an alleged altercation along River Road. Further, a female told police that she was pushed by a known male.
Lawrence Township
- Police participated in “Operation Safe Stop” throughout Lawrence Township. Further, officers monitored several bus routes to reduce traffic violations at or near bus stops. Police initiated seven traffic stops as a result.
- Police conducted a traffic detail along Mount Joy, River and High Level roads. Officers conducted the detail due to the number of traffic violations being reported in those areas. Officers would also like to remind motorists that those roadways are near the Clearfield Area Elementary School. Police will conduct additional traffic details in the future and ask motorists to please slow down in those areas.
- Police were requested to check the welfare of a male at a business on Fullerton Street. Upon arrival police located a Philipsburg man who was walking to a residence in Curwensville.
- Police responded to the Clearfield County Jail to assist a company with an attempt to repossess a vehicle. Upon arrival police found that their assistance wasn’t needed.
- Police responded to South Second Street at its intersection at the Hyde light, where a firearm was located along the roadway. Police were able to identify the owner and determine the firearm had fallen out of their vehicle; it will be returned to the owner.
- Police responded to an area of Route 879 for a report about wires being down on the roadway. Upon arrival police notified Penelec of the incident.
Decatur Township
- Police responded to a disagreement between two males along Fairview Road at the police station. They later allegedly had several other disagreements, and one was taken to the CCJ.
- Police received a report from a township resident who had gotten an alarming letter on his porch. The resident subsequently contacted police regarding questions in reference to his mail.
- Police responded to CVS Pharmacy in Philipsburg for an alleged retail theft that involved a known female at the scene.
- Police responded to an alleged verbal domestic dispute on Hollow Road. Those involved were separated upon police arrival to the scene.
- Police responded to a hit-and-run accident on Blue Spruce Road, where a vehicle impacted and caused significant damage to the Gearhartsville Sportsmen’s Club. Upon investigation police determined that the suspect vehicle would be a black Hyundai passenger vehicle. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 814-339-6775.
