Fire Marshal: Daisy Street Fire Remains Under Investigation

PART_1425392378763_0303150855CLEARFIELD – The investigation is continuing into a fire in which three firefighters were injured Tuesday morning in the 700 block of Daisy Street in Clearfield Borough, reported the state police at Clearfield.

The Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshal investigated the origin and cause of the fire. The fire originated in the living room on the first floor of the home; the cause hasn’t yet been determined, state police said.

One firefighter was injured during suppression efforts from the collapse of the front porch; the extent of the injury is unknown at this time. Two other firefighters were temporarily trapped inside until they were extricated, state police said.

Damage to the home is estimated at approximately $100,000. John E. Poole, 51, and Cindy S. Poole, 39, both of Clearfield, occupied the home. Both were treated for minor injuries, according to state police.
