- Justin M. Craven, 29, of Philipsburg was arrested Monday based upon several investigations conducted in the Philipsburg area. He was arraigned on charges of delivery of heroin, possession with the intent to deliver heroin, possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving under the influence. Craven’s bail has been set at $100,000 unsecured and his preliminary hearing for Jan. 14, state police said.
State police at Ridgway
- On Monday, a suitcase was left at the Glass bus stop enclosure across from the Wilcox Library in Jones Township. Upon investigation state police found the suitcase contained craft supplies. Anyone with information about the suitcase is asked to contact the state police at Ridgway at 814-776-6136.
- An accident occurred Monday on Skyline Drive in Fox Township. Misty D. Clemens of Force was traveling north when she failed to negotiate a left-hand curve in the roadway. Her vehicle subsequently exited the right side of the roadway and impacted a ditch. Clemens was treated for minor injuries; her vehicle was towed from the scene. State police were assisted at the scene by Fox Township Ambulance. Clemens was cited for the accident.
Clearfield Borough
- On three, separate occasions, police responded to a noise complaint at an apartment along East Locust Street. Charges are being filed as a result, police said.
- Police assisted the fire department along Daisy and Linden streets, where trees and wires were down following a storm.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of criminal mischief to a vehicle along Daisy Street. The incident remains under investigation at this time, police said.
- Police responded to a West Pine Street residence for a 9-1-1 hang-up call. Upon arrival police found everything to be OK with a malfunctioning phone believed to be the cause.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about an overdose in the area of Weaver Street Extension.
- Police received a report about an alarm at the Hyde Wesleyan Church. However, police were cancelled while en route to the scene.
- Police received a parking complaint that occurred on the Old Erie Pike.
- Police received a traffic complaint on River Road.
- Police received a report about an alarm at the Discovery House.
- Police received a report about an alarm at Rudd Equipment.
- Police received a report about a possible waterline break at a residence along Village Road. Upon arrival police notified the Clearfield Water Authority.
- Police handled an alleged incident of harassment by communications.
