State Police Investigating Criminal Mischief Incident at Logging Site

GIRARD TOWNSHIP – State police at Clearfield have initiated an investigation into an alleged incident of criminal mischief that occurred sometime Thursday or Friday at a logging site off of Route 879 in Girard Township.

During the incident, someone allegedly broke a lock on a large dozer and started it. After that they allegedly used the dozer to knock over heavy equipment and to damage other equipment.

One piece of heavy equipment was pushed over a high wall, state police said, noting that total damage was extensive.

The incident remains under investigation at this time. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at Clearfield at 814-857-3800.
