CLEARFIELD – A DuBois man charged with entering a house without permission was sentenced to state prison in Clearfield County Court.
CLEARFIELD – A Madera man who fled the scene of an accident leaving two injured people while the vehicles burned was sentenced in Clearfield County Court.
PENNSYLVANIA – Average retail gasoline prices in Pennsylvania have fallen 6.8 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $2.59 per gallon yesterday, according to GasBuddy’s daily survey of 5,269 gas outlets in Pennsylvania.
BELLEFONTE – U.S. Rep. Glenn ‘GT’ Thompson (PA-5) issued the following statement upon news that the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) has awarded Moshannon Valley Correctional Facility (MVCF), in Philipsburg, Clearfield County, as the BOP’s preferred facility for the Northeastern United States.
HARRISBURG – During the five-day Christmas holiday driving period, which took place from Dec. 24 through Sunday, the Pennsylvania State Police investigated a total of 728 crashes.
WASHINGTON – As the nation prepares to ring in the New Year, the U.S. Census Bureau has projected the United States population will be 320,090,857 on Jan. 1, 2015.
So far, two bodies have been sighted, Indonesian Navy Official Manahan Simorangkir told CNN. The body of a woman has been recovered, but large waves have prevented crews from getting to the second body.

DUBOIS – A 32-year-old DuBois woman will face multiple drug-related charges after law enforcement found her in possession of crystal meth, items of drug paraphernalia and a large sum of U.S. Currency, reported the DuBois City police today.
