Penn Staters Encouraged to Share Graduation Moments through Social Media

UNIVERSITY PARK — More than 5,000 diplomas will be awarded to Penn State students Dec. 18-20 at ceremonies on Penn State campuses around the Commonwealth.

Penn State’s Office of Social Media once again wants graduates and their families and friends to share the momentous occasion by using #PSUgrad with cap-and-gown, ceremony and celebration photos.

“This is an important moment for the graduates who join the alumni family, and for the entire University community,” said Geoff Rushton, manager of the Office of Social Media. “We want to use social media to bring the entire Penn State family to celebrate the achievements of our students.”

Posts will be curated¬†and shared across social media. Posts may be shared through Penn State’s official social media channels, including Facebook,Instagram, Twitter and Google+.

The Penn State community is encouraged to use #PSUgrad for relevant posts on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Vine and Google+.
