Man Flown to Altoona after Union Twp. Accident

UNION TOWNSHIP – A Clearfield man, Douglas J. Dick, was flown to UPMC Altoona after a single-vehicle accident Saturday on the Rockton Mountain Highway in Union Township, reported the state police at DuBois.

Dick was traveling westbound when a deer entered the roadway; it impacted the front of his Jeep Liberty. His Jeep continued traveling westbound before crossing the fog line and coming to a final rest in a ditch.

Dick was flown from the scene to UPMC Altoona for treatment. The severity of his injuries was unknown, state police said. State police were assisted at the scene by Brady Township Ambulance, Stat MedEvac and the Union and Brady Township fire departments.
