Weather Puts Curwensville Openers on Hold Again

CURWENSVILLE — Openers for the Curwensville Area High School baseball and softball teams openers had to be called off for the second time this week due to the weather forecast for sub-freezing temperatures that will be driven into the teens by high winds Wednesday.

Athletic director Allen Leigey announced that both District 9 Northern Allegany League South Division games with DuBois Central Catholic are rescheduled for Thursday, May 8, with the Lady Tide playing at home at 4 p.m. and the Golden Tide hitting the road for a 4:15 start.

Weather permitting, the Golden Tide will start the season Friday against Clarion and the Lady Tide will open at Brookville Monday in non-league action.
