ARC Offers Lifesaving Training during Cold Winter Months

Organization Urges Community Members to Learn Skills Which Can Save Lives

DUBOISWith the cold weather here to stay for the foreseeable future, the American Red Cross has courses and resources available for people to learn how to treat and prevent a variety of emergencies that may take place during the heart of winter.

This February, the Red Cross will offer in-class training for community members to gain lifesaving skills and further prepare for potential cold weather emergencies. Interested area residents can register for these courses by visiting or calling 1-800-REDCROSS.

The following courses will be offered by the PA Heartland Chapter this month. The classes will be held at the Red Cross office at 109 N. Brady St. in DuBois.

  • Feb. 15; 9 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.; Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED; $110
  • Feb. 15; 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.; Adult CPR/AED; $70
