WJAC-TV: Shooting Reported at Purdue University

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – A shooting has been reported on the campus of Purdue University, according to information posted on the school’s Twitter page and university Web site.

The university posted at about 12 p.m. Tuesday about the shooting that happened in an electrical engineering building on campus. The school updated about 30 minutes later, saying that one person was reportedly in custody, and police were continuing to search the scene.

There wasn’t any information immediately available about any possible injuries.

Purdue is located in West Lafayette, just more than an hour northwest of Indianapolis.
