Fatal Fire Under Investigation in St. Marys

ST. MARYS – The cause of a deadly fire remains under investigation after it started during the early morning hours Saturday at 523 Brusselles St. in St. Marys, reported the state police at Ridgway.

James L. Robbins, 77, of St. Marys died as a result of the fire. Joan M. Robbins, 69, of St. Marys sustained moderate injuries, state police said.

State police said the couple’s residence caught fire on the first-floor, and its cause hasn’t been determined at this time. Damage is estimated at $100,000.
