INCH BY INCH – Yesterday, the Clearfield Area United Way goal sign received some extra red coloring at the Courthouse Plaza.

The CAUW board and more than 75 volunteer campaigners announced that they’ve received 92 percent of its goal, or $224,199. The CAWU’s goal is $245,500 this year, and this will help 25 local member agencies located throughout eastern, southern and central Clearfield County.

“It’s never too late to donate to make a difference,” said Campaign Chairperson Michele Fannin. “We hope that companies and residents will mail a tax-deductible donation to the CAUW, 18 N. Second St., P.O. Box 1430, Clearfield, PA 16830.”

“They can still make a gift for 2013, or we will happily count it in 2014 if it arrives next Tuesday,” added CAUW Board Member Martha Tylwalk.
