- Minor injuries were reported after a single-vehicle accident occurred Thursday on state Route 729 south of the Lumber City Highway in Ferguson Township. Jeffery L. Luzier, 45, of Frenchville was traveling northbound in his International Harvester when he lost control while negotiating a right-hand curve in the roadway. Luzier’s unit overturned onto its driver’s side and then slid 50 feet before striking the guiderails. Luzier was cited for careless driving. State police were assisted by the Grampian and Curwensville fire companies.
- The investigation is continuing into an incident of cruelty to animals that occurred Wednesday on Miller Road in Gulich Township. During the incident, a 32-year-old Houtzdale woman shot the victim’s dog. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the state police at Clearfield at 814-857-3800.
- Minor injuries were reported after a two-vehicle accident that occurred Wednesday on the Clearfield – Woodland Highway in Bradford Township. Randel L. Yarger, 51, of Clearfield and Carl J. Williams, 19, of Clearfield were traveling eastbound when Yarger slowed for a construction vehicle. Williams, however, failed to observe Yarger slowing and struck the rear of his vehicle.
