BIGLER – John Gabler has been named Shortfuse Gasfield Trucking’s Driver of the Year for 2013.  Gabler was selected from the company’s 21 drivers, and honored at the Shortfuse annual picnic held at Fork Ridge Ranch on Aug. 25.  Gabler has been employed with Shortfuse since June of 2011.

“This is a difficult decision for us to make each year, because we have a great group of drivers. But John has certainly distinguished himself in the elite group,” said Derek Walker, a co-owner of Shortfuse.  “It easily could be any one of our drivers that will win this award next year,” added Andy Spencer, also a co-owner of the company.   Previous award winners include Frank Wilkinson in 2011 and Rob Peoples in 2012.

Gabler, his wife, Lisa and their son, Matthew, reside in DuBois.  He also serves as a member of the Army Reserves and enjoys hunting, fishing, camping and is an active member in the American Legion.
