Pauline F. Verost, 90, of Philipsburg died Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013 at her residence. She was the daughter of the late Michael “Mike” and Mary (Werba) Fetcenko born Aug. 7, 1923 in Philipsburg.

She married Andrew V. Verost on Feb. 12, 1944 at the Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Hawk Run.  He preceded her in death Sept. 11, 2003.

She was a member of the Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Philipsburg and was a member of the Jednota Lodge, Branch 134 in Grassflat. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, gardening and completing word puzzles.

Her family was the love of her life, especially spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She assisted her husband in the operation of their family business, Andy Verost Used Cars, in Philipsburg from 1949-1985.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Verost was preceded in death by three brothers, George, Thomas and Mitchell Fetcenko and a sister, Dorothy Fetcenko.

She is survived by a daughter, Elaine M. Verost and her fiancé, Nick Sabella Jr. of  Philipsburg and two sons, James L. Verost and his companion, Donna R. Bell of and Dennis M. Verost, both of Philipsburg.

Surviving are three sisters, Margaret Salvatore and her husband, Paul of Clearfield, Mary Swansegar of Philipsburg and Irene Engel and her husband, John of Elyria, Ohio and two brothers, Lawrence Fetcenko and his wife Liese of North Ridgeville, Ohio and Raymond Fetcenko and his wife, Barbara of Elyria, Ohio.  Also surviving are two grandchildren, Michelle Cowder and her husband, Aaron of Kylertown and Laurie Verost of Morrisdale; five great-grandchildren, Hailey, Jenna, Luke, Lily and Noelle Cowder, all of Kylertown; a former daughter-in-law, Cathie Verost of Morrisdale; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Philipsburg, with the Rev. Robert J. Kelly, celebrant.  Burial will be at Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery in Philipsburg.

At Mrs. Verost’s request, visitation will be private.
