Police Report: DuBois City

  • On Thursday police responded to the intersection of West Long Avenue and Evergreen Street, where a vehicle was stuck in a yard. The operator was attempting to leave. Upon arrival police found the vehicle was stuck on a four-foot retaining wall. During the investigation, police found marijuana on a male; he will be charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and traffic violations.
  • An incident of theft occurred Thursday in the 800 block of DuBois Street. Upon police arrival, the victim advised that her swing set had been taken from her yard by the neighbors who placed it in their yard. Police tried to contact the victim’s neighbors and the former owner of the swing set but were unable to. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
  • On Thursday police were dispatched to a fight between two females and male at a Grove Place address. Upon arrival police contacted the three individuals and found one male and female had assaulted the other female. The investigation is ongoing, and charges are pending.
  • On Thursday police were dispatched for multiple people who were fighting at the intersection of South Jared Street and West Weber Avenue. Upon arrival police contacted the individuals who stated everything was now under control, as the aggressor in the fight had left the area. The individuals didn’t wish to pursue charges, and no further action was taken by police.
