LHU Students Seeking Local Organizations for Pinterest or Facebook Promotion

LOCK HAVEN – Lock Haven University’s marketing students will be creating free social media promotions for local businesses and non-profits this fall.

Pinterest boards: Great for organizations that have good visuals. For a great example, check out what an LHU student intern did for Clinton County tourism at: http://pinterest.com/ccep2013/. Pinterest boards work fine without a lot of updating.

Facebook pages: Best if someone in your staff is willing to post a short blurb or picture every week or so. Best used as a way of getting people to feel a connection with your organization.

If interested in participating in this free social media promotion, please contact Dr. Marlene Jensen at mjensen1@lhup.edu as soon as possible.

Lock Haven University is a member of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education (PASSHE), the largest provider of higher education in the commonwealth. Its 14 universities offer more than 250 degree and certificate programs in more than 120 areas of study. Nearly 405,000 system alumni live and work in Pennsylvania.
