Police Report: Lawrence Township

  • The investigation is still continuing into an incident of illegal dumping that occurred two weeks ago.
  • No injuries were reported after a two-vehicle accident that occurred on U.S. Route 322 and state Route 153.
  • Police are investigating the theft of copper wiring from area telephone poles.
  • Police are investigating a hit-and-run accident during which a vehicle was damaged in the Hyde area.
  • No injuries were reported after a two-vehicle accident on SR 879/Industrial Park Road.
  • A burning complaint was reported in the Turnpike Avenue area. The individual wasn’t burning anything against township codes and told police they would put the fire out soon.
  • Police received a report about suspicious persons in Hillsdale. Upon arrival police determined there hadn’t been any violations and released the persons.
  • Police received a report about harassment by communication and stalking. Police contacted both of the parties who were involved in the incident.
  • Police received a report of harassment and disorderly conduct that occurred in the Hyde area. Charges will be filed for the incident.
  • Police received a fireworks complaint.
  • Police received a report about an assault that allegedly occurred on Montgomery Run Road. The investigation is ongoing, and charges are currently pending.
  • Clearfield Borough police were assisted with an incident.
  • Police were dispatched to a domestic argument at the Economy Inn on South Second Street. Upon arrival police found the argument was verbal in nature, and a female left for the night.
  • Police responded to a parking complaint at the Sapp Bros. Truck Stop.
  • A two-vehicle accident occurred in the area of Mount Joy Road and Hazel Street. One-vehicle reportedly side-swiped another, traveled over the centerline and exited the northbound lane into a ditch. There, the vehicle overturned onto its side. No injuries were reported; however, both vehicles were towed from the scene. One male was taken to the hospital for suspected DUI. Charges are currently pending.
  • Police are investigating an incident of burglary and criminal trespass on Daisy Street. Police have a suspect.

  • Police received a traffic complaint in the area of Coal Hill Road.
  • Police received a report of a lost wallet at a local business. Police determined the location of the wallet.
  • Police received a report of a suspicious male in an area residence; however, they were not able to locate the male.
  • Police assisted emergency personnel with a patient. The male was transported to the hospital for his injuries.
  • No injuries were reported after a two-vehicle accident that occurred in the area of Whiskey Hill and Evans roads.
  • Clearfield Borough police were assisted with an unwanted female at a local establishment.
  • Police received a report about a single-vehicle accident on Bowman’s Hill Road; however, the vehicle was gone prior to police arrival.
  • Police received reports of traffic violations on Coal Hill Road.
  • Police received a report about all-terrain vehicles that were being driven on Fletcher Road. Police made contact with the individuals who were involved.
  • Police received a report about an alleged drug violation at the Lawrence Park Village Apartment Complex. Police made contact with a male who was involved with the incident.
