Brian K. Spencer has announced his candidacy for the Office of the Clearfield County Prothonotary. Spencer is a lifelong resident of Grampian, lives with his wife, Christine Spencer (formerly Christine Dotts) and their two children.

Spencer received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Thiel College, located in Greenville. Spencer was a three-year letter winner of the Thiel Tomcats golf team. Spencer has worked for FED-EX for 17 years and provides customers with a courteous attitude and efficient service. Spencer continues his interest in golf and was club champion of the Eagles Ridge Golf Club in 2009.

Spencer is an active member of St. Bonaventure Roman Catholic Church, in Grampian. He is a member of the Knights of Columbus and volunteers much of his time, including the pro-life march for life held every year in Washington, D.C. and fundraising by being a committee member for the golf tournament.

Spencer has volunteered as a soccer coach in the youth soccer programs and will continue his involvement after being elected. Also, Spencer has opened his home and acted as a host family for the Regional Choir Competition held at Curwensville Area High School.

Spencer is seeking the Office of Prothonotary because he knows he can make a difference. When elected, he will work with everyone to provide courteous and efficient service to the public. He has always been a self-motivated hard working individual who cares about county government. Spencer will update when practical and use all computer advances in the office to provide quicker service and saves tax payers money. This includes online forms, access to filing and easy steps to obtain a passport.
