PHILIPSBURG – A Philipsburg couple is facing charges after aggravated assault incidents at Weis Market, reported the Philipsburg-based state police.
According to the report, state police responded to an alleged fight Sunday at Weis Market. During the course of the fight, a knife was brandished and threats were directed against one Philipsburg woman. As a result, state police filed charges through the district court, and warrants were issued for Cameron L. Golding and Destiny Leigh Nies, both of Philipsburg.
On Monday, state police responded to another fight between a Philipsburg man and Golding in the area of Weis Market. Upon arrival, Nies and Golding were taken into custody on the issued warrants. Charges will be filed for this incident at a later date.
In addition to taking Neis and Golding into custody, Nies was found in possession of suspected synthetic marijuana and a wooden/corn cob pipe with residue. Charges will be filed pending laboratory testing.
