Police Report: Sandy Township

  • A domestic dispute occurred Wednesday between a 53-year-old woman and her 28-year-old son at a Rockton Road residence.  The argument started out as verbal regarding money until the man allegedly pushed his mother and threw a can at her.  Police handled the situation without incident and transported the son to the DuBois Regional Medical Center for a mental health evaluation.
  • A Platt Road man reported Wednesday that he had posted signs regarding a rummage and book sale along Shafer Road and someone took them.
  • A 55-year-old Fender Road woman reported Wednesday that her 58-year-old sister has been harassing her.
  • Police responded to a neighbor dispute Wednesday on Smithfield Street.  The ongoing dispute was handled without incident.
  • A 27-year-old Brockway woman reported Wednesday that she was being followed by a dark-colored sports utility vehicle.  She pulled into Pilot to call police.  The SUV was gone upon police arrival.
  • A false alarm occurred Thursday at Tri-County Church.
  • A 36-year-old Anita woman was observed by Wal-Mart employees concealing items in her purse and not paying for the $161.46 worth of merchandise.  Charges of retail theft were filed.
  • A 21 year old Hanes Drive woman reported Thursday that her estranged boyfriend wouldn’t leave her apartment.  Police transported the 23-year-old man to the bus station and handled the situation without incident.
