Police Report: Sandy Township

  • A 71-year-old DuBois woman and a 54-year-old Treasure Lake man were involved in an accident on Shaffer Road.
  • A man reported that Friday that he’d misplaced a set of keys in or around Lowe’s.
  • A 19-year-old Force man purchased video games Friday at the DuBois Mall and accidently left them at the mall.  Someone picked them up and took them to Game Stop and cashed them in for money.  The investigation is continuing.
  • A school bus driver reported Friday that a light blue sports utility vehicle passed the bus when it was stopped to let students on and off in Treasure Lake on two separate occasions.  The investigation is continuing.
  • A white Husky was found Friday and turned over to police.
  • A 29-year-old Treasure Lake woman lost control of her vehicle Friday on Bay Road, causing it to travel off the road and get stuck.  No injuries were reported.
  • While patrolling Saturday in the area of Murray’s, officers found a vehicle with its lights on and running. However, there wasn’t anyone around. The vehicle was secured.
  • Two 17-year-old Hanes Drive boys, an 18-year-old South Brady Street man and a 21-year-old Highland Street woman will all be arrested after officers found them smoking marijuana in a vehicle parked at Spider Lake.
  • A Hetrick Road resident reported Saturday that someone knocked his mailbox off the post, causing $50 worth of damage.
  • A 39-year-old Thunderbird Road man reported Saturday that he was receiving harassing text messages from his ex-girlfriend’s phone.  Officers handled the situation without incident.
  • On Saturday, a 21-year-old Lucinda man pulled out of Ponderosa into the path of a vehicle driven by a 31-year-old DuBois man, causing the two to collide.  Both vehicles were towed from the scene; no injuries were reported.
  • A false alarm occurred Sunday at Kwik Fill.
  • On Sunday, a 21-year-old Olive Avenue woman lost control of her vehicle on Oklahoma Salem Road, causing it to exit the roadway and hit a tree head-on. The driver left the scene prior to police arrival.  No injuries were reported.  The driver will be cited.
