Police Report: Lawrence Township

  • A scam was reported to police; however, it didn’t occur in the township.
  • An alarm occurred at a River Road business after which police found the building to be secure.
  • An incident of retail theft occurred at the Clearfield Mall. The suspect was apprehended, and charges are currently pending.
  • The investigation is continuing after an incident of burglary on Race Street. Someone entered a residence and removed various items.
  • An e-mail scam was reported to police, where an unknown male is sending them for people to work for him. Then, the male asks the recipient to enter personal information.
  • An incident of careless driving occurred on Jury Street; however, police checked the area with negative results.
  • A hit-and-run accident occurred on South Second Street, where a gray- or silver-colored Mitsubishi sports utility vehicle struck a parked vehicle.  Its operator then fled the scene.
  • An incident of retail theft occurred at a state Route 879 business for which a New York man was arrested.
  • A domestic dispute occurred on Clarendon Avenue, where a male and female were engaged in a verbal argument. Police cleared the scene without incident.
  • An incident of theft occurred in Hyde.
  • A noise complaint occurred on Turnpike Avenue Extension and police asked the responsible persons to keep the noise to a minimum.
  • A 911 hang-up call was reported; however, the resident was having problems with their phone lines.
  • A fight was reported at a Lewis Road establishment; however, the owner told police there weren’t any problems.
  • A traffic complaint was reported on Palmer Street.
  • A motor vehicle accident occurred on Supercenter Drive during which a tractor-trailer operated by a Florida man struck a car operated by an Ohio woman.
  • An injured skunk was reported on Industrial Park Road.
  • A bear was reportedly on a porch along Arrowhead Way.
  • An incident of harassment occurred at a business in the township.
  • A domestic dispute occurred at the Lawrence Park Village Apartments.
  • A 911 hang-up call was received from the Mountain Laurel Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
  • A possible DUI was reported in the Hyde area; however, police made contact with the operator and determined he wasn’t intoxicated.
  • An incident of trespass occurred at a local business.
  • Clearfield Borough police were assisted with a traffic stop that involved a stolen vehicle. Charges are currently pending.
  • Clearfield Borough police were assisted with a highly combative juvenile who was under the influence of an unknown substance.
  • An incident of criminal trespass occurred after a known person had been advised not to return. Charges are being filed in the case.
  • An incident of disorderly conduct occurred and a citation will be issued.
