LT Police Apprehend Escaped Centre County Inmate

CLEARFIELD – An escaped Centre County Jail inmate, Larry Allen Thomas, 40, was apprehended Friday by the Lawrence Township Police Department.

Police responded to South Second Street for an alleged suspicious man who was hiding in bushes. Thomas was subsequently located on Spruce Street, and police determined he was the escaped inmate from Centre County.

Police apprehended Thomas and contacted the Rockview-based state police, which had a warrant for his arrest. Clearfield Borough police assisted at the scene.

In addition, police recovered the 2008 Chevrolet Colorado that Thomas had stolen in Walker Township.  It was located at a motel along state Route 879.
