Paul E. Ramsey, 63, of DuBois died Thursday, Oct. 18, 2012 at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Montifore.
Born Feb. 1, 1949, he was the son of the late Elmer and Margaret (McMillen) Ramsey.
He served in the U.S. Army National Guard from 1971-1977.
On Aug. 4, 1973 in DuBois, he married Letitia (Salsgiver) Ramsey. She survives.
He retired from the DuBois Area School District after 32 years of service. He was a health and physical education teacher at the DuBois Area High School.
He was a member of the Mount Zion United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Barbershop Musical Group, the DuBois Area Honor Guard, the DuBois Area Shriners and the Garfield Lodge #559 Free and Accepted Masons.
He is survived by three children, Sarah Ramsey and her husband, Lance of Pittsburgh and Alexis Ramsey and Jacob Ramsey, both of DuBois.
Also surviving are four brothers, Donald D. Ramsey and his wife, LuLu of Reynoldsville; Earl J. Ramsey and his wife, Judy of Brookville; Ken Ramsey and his wife, Cathy of Oil City; and David C. Ramsey and his wife, Rose of Morristown, TN and one sister, Betty I. Anthony and her husband, LeRoy of Punxsutawney.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Ruth G. Gordon.
The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. Sunday at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with Pastor Ron Lindahl officiating.
Full military honors will be accorded by the members of the DuBois Area Honor Guard from the funeral home.
