James A. Maney Jr., 74 of Morann died Sunday, Oct. 14, 2012 at the Clearfield Hospital.
Mr. Maney was the son of the late Albert and Virgie (Ralston) Maney born Feb. 3, 1938 in Morgan Run, Decatur Township. He married Carole E. (Hornberger) Maney on Feb. 14, 1999 in Ripley, NY.
He attended the Parsonville Assembly of God Church.
Mr. Maney served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Morann Club and the L.O.O.Moose #327 in Houtzdale.
He was a retired self-employed carpenter and graduated from East Brunswick Vo-Tech in East Brunswick, NJ.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant sister.
Along with his wife, Mr. Maney is survived by four daughters, Darlene Foland of South Amboy, NJ, Jody Jordan and her husband, Greg of Ramey, Dody Garafolo and her husband, John of East Brunswick, NJ and Billie Jo Arnold of South Brunswick, NJ and two sons, James Maney III and his wife, Lisa and George Maney and his companion, Jan McCloskey, all of Morann.
Also surviving are four sisters, Minerva Koebig and her husband, Henry of Mesa, AZ, Joyce McKinney of New Bern, NC, Regina Randolph and her husband, William of Madisonville, TN and Donna Ware and her husband, the Rev. Raphael Ware of Toma River, NJ; a brother, Lewis Maney and his wife, Leona of Madisonville, TN; 19 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
The funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday at the Heath Funeral Home in Osceola Mills, with the Rev. Raphael Ware officiating. Burial will be at the Sanborn Cemetery, (Sanborn) R.D. Houtzdale.
The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral Thursday at the funeral home.
Military Honors will be accorded at the cemetery by the Osceola Mills Honor Guard.
