No Injuries Reported in Philipsburg Accident

PHILIPSBURG – No injuries were reported after a two-vehicle accident that occurred at 9:15 a.m. Sunday along West Presqueisle Street in Philipsburg Borough, the Philipsburg-based state police reported.

Torin R. Verbeck, 25, of Philipsburg was negotiating a right-hand turn from North Front Street onto West Presqueisle Street. He continued turning and rear-ended a vehicle parked on the right-hand side of the roadway.

The vehicle’s owner had just entered the vehicle and hadn’t started it. Verbeck then continued traveling on West Presqueisle Street and didn’t stop until state police initiated lights and sirens during a traffic stop.

Verbeck wasn’t injured in the accident.
