No Injuries Reported in Single-vehicle Mishap in Jones Township

JONES TOWNSHIP – No injuries were reported following a two-vehicle accident Wednesday along Burning Well Road in Jones Township, the Ridgway-based state police reported.

John M. Peterson III, 43, of St. Marys and Patricia M. Stauffer, 70, of Wilcox were traveling northbound when she attempted to make a right-hand turn into a driveway. Peterson didn’t observe Stauffer’s vehicle turning.

Once Peterson noticed, he wasn’t able to bring his vehicle to a stop. His vehicle subsequently struck that driven by Stauffer and pushed it into the driveway, where both vehicles came to a rest.

Neither Peterson nor Stauffer were injured in the mishap. In addition, Peterson’s passenger, David Schneider, 47, of St. Marys wasn’t injured. All occupants were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the mishap.
