Police Report: Lawrence Township

  • A single-vehicle accident occurred Friday morning along U.S. Route 322. The driver reported falling asleep and drifting off the roadway. Her vehicle side-wiped a PennDOT sign before running over a gas tap regulator for the Stratton Motors building and causing a natural gas leak. The vehicle stopped after striking a concrete light pole base near the Sherwin Williams parking lot. The driver was transported to the Clearfield Hospital for treatment of minor injuries, and the vehicle was towed from the scene. The gas leak was stabilized by members of the UGI gas company. Police were assisted by Station No. 5 Fire Department.

  • An unwanted person was reported at a 21st Street residence, and police located a male who was arrested.
  • A theft, which involved a large aluminum box, was reported at a local business.
  • An incident of disorderly conduct, which involved several individuals, occurred on High Street. All were advised to return home or they’d be arrested.
  • An incident of harassment occurred on High Street. Charges are currently pending.
  • An incident of harassment by communication was reported to police.
  • A call was received about information on eviction.
  • Information was received in reference to a hit-and-run incident.
  • An unwanted person was reported in the Hyde area, and when police arrived, they determined the involved parties had calmed down. The matter had been resolved.
  • A vehicle was reported as being driven carelessly in the Wal-Mart Supercenter parking lot. Police made contact with the driver. Charges are currently pending.
  • A civil property dispute was reported, and the caller was directed to the proper agencies.
  • An ongoing incident of harassment was reported to police.
  • A two-vehicle accident occurred at the Rainbow III car wash on state Route 879. A passenger car collided with a tractor-trailer, as they both attempted to enter the business at the same time. No injuries were reported, and the car was towed from the scene.
  • An incident of assault occurred between two females at a Hyde residence. Neither female wanted to pursue charges against the other.
  • An incident of assault occurred between two males at the R Bar. One male allegedly approached the other and began striking him in the face. Charges are currently pending.
  • Several questions were field by police regarding custody issues, and police referred the caller to an attorney.
  • A cell phone was stolen from a local business. This incident occurred several weeks ago and remains under investigation.
  • A motorist was assisted with unlocking their vehicle.
  • Suspicious juveniles were reported in the Kerr Addition area; police checked the area but didn’t locate anyone.
  • An incident of harassment, which occurred via text messaging, was reported to police. The accused was contacted and advised to cease contact.
  • An intentional overdose was reported and the individual was transported to the Clearfield Hospital for medical and mental health evaluations.
  • An incident of harassment occurred on Hill Street, and police spoke with the complainant and learned it stemmed from a previous incident. Charges are currently pending at this time.
  • An underage drinking party was reported on Hill Street. But police made contact with several people and learned that juveniles weren’t consuming alcohol.
  • A noise complaint was reported at a Goshen Road residence. Police spoke with the responsible party who had already turned the music down.
  • A suspicious vehicle was located at a business along Route 322. Police found the operator was driving under suspension. Charges will be filed against the operator.
  • A possible theft was reported to police that stemmed from a civil matter. Police were able to resolve the matter without making an arrest.
  • An incident of criminal mischief occurred at Lawrence Park Village and involved a Red Mazda pick-up truck. Police have a person of interest with several witnesses to the incident. The investigation continues with charges pending the completion of witness statements.
  • A report of littering at a local business was reported to police, and the responsible party was contacted and agreed to clean it up.
  • An incident of disorderly conduct and criminal mischief was reported to police, while fecal matter was deposited on the side of a building. The incident occurred several days ago but was only recently reported to police. The investigation is ongoing.
  • Property was recovered from a township resident for a borough resident. The property was inadvertently left in a vehicle that had changed hands.
  • A traffic violation occurred along SR 879, while a vehicle failed to yield the right of way and then passed in a no passing zone. Charges are currently pending.
  • Two dogs were reported lost – Meeka, a pit bull mix that is brown and white in color and Murphy, a light-colored pit bull puppy. They escaped from a residence in the Mount Zion area. Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
