State Police Report Attempted Robbery

PINE TOWNSHIP – An investigation has been initiated into an attempted robbery that occurred at 8:30 p.m. Sunday on Dubec Road in Pine Township, the Clearfield-based state police reported today.

According to the incident report, two Clearfield adults were out for a ride at which time their vehicle sustained a flat tire. While one occupant – a 25-year-old male – was changing it, four white males who were between the ages of 20 and 30 years attempted to rob them.

The suspects then fled the scene in a red Ford Ranger. The male victim was treated for injuries at the DuBois Regional Medical Center. He was released from DRMC, state police said.
