No Injuries Reported in Ferguson Township Accident

FERGUSON TOWNSHIP – No injuries were reported following a single-vehicle accident at approximately 11:45 p.m. Friday along the Tyrone Pike in Ferguson Township, the Clearfield-based state police reported.

According to the accident report, Todd Joseph Norman, 32, of Curwensville was traveling southbound when he lost control of his pick-up truck on the icy roadway. His truck traveled off the western berm and struck a dirt embankment and road sign.

After initial impact with the embankment, his truck continued to travel northbound approximately 24 feet. At that point, it overturned onto its driver’s side, coming to a rest in the middle of the Tyrone Pike, state police said.

Police were assisted at the scene by the Grampian Volunteer Fire Company and the Clearfield County Fire Police. Norman was using his seatbelt at the time of the accident. He’ll be cited for driving on roadways laned for traffic, careless driving and driving vehicle at a safe speed through the district court in Houtzdale.
