Sandy Supers Reorganize

DUBOIS – Sandy Township held its annual organization meeting Tuesday night.  Positions were refilled for the new year.  It was also the first meeting of new supervisors Darell Duttry.

The Sandy Township Supervisors reclaim their name plates after picking their seats for the year. New supervisor Duttry sits in the middle where Ray "Sarge" Anderson used to.

Many positions were retained by their previous holders.  Supervisors Brady LaBorde and Jim Jeffers retained their chairman and vice-chairman positions, respectively.  Barbara Miller was reappointed to treasurer/secretary.  The meeting schedule will continue to be the first and third Mondays of the month, barring holidays.

With the new year administrative staff of the township, and the township manager Dick Castonguay, will receive a 3 percent raise.  The exact percentage for the police department was not known, but according to Castonguay it was between 3 percent and 3.25 percent.
