JUNIATA — After a slow start to the season, the Clearfield Bison junior varsity football team finally climbed past the .500 mark on the year after a come-from-behind win over Juniata Monday night.

Down 6-0 after the opening quarter, the Bisons were able to score the game’s final two touchdowns to come away with the 13-6 victory.

A 13-yard scoring pass from Tyler Woomer to his favorite receiver Shawn Lord gave the Bisons a  7-6 lead at the half.

Woomer added two interceptions to the second stanza to preserve the lead.

Rico Longoria tallied the Bisons’ final score in the fourth quarter on a 56-yard sprint.

Led by Longoria’s 104 yard total, Clearfield rushed for 200 yards on the night. Seth Beardsley chipped in with 61 yards on only 9 totes of the football.

Clearfield will be back in action Monday October 31 when they host Central in their final game.
