Idaho Man Arrested After Gun Incident at Clearfield Area Motel

CLEARFIELD – An Idaho man was arrested after police were called to a Clearfield motel for an incident involving a gun.

According to the Lawrence Township Police Department, police were called to the Country Hearth Motel for a report of a man in the bar causing a disturbance with a handgun. Officers arrived and found a 25-year-old Boise, ID man with a handgun.

After a brief investigation officers learned that he was in the bar causing a disturbance and trying to cause a fight with a number of Hispanic men. The Boise, ID man was arrested and placed in Clearfield County Jail. Police said he is facing numerous weapons charges as well as disorderly conduct and public drunkenness.

He is scheduled to be arraigned sometime this morning.
