Michael E. Kochkodin, age 61, of Osceola Mills passed away on Tuesday, February 1, 2011 at his residence.
Born August 11, 1949 he was the son of the late Michael A. and Genevieve Kochkodin.
He was a 1967 graduate of Minersville Area High School and attended Bloomsburg and Penn State Universities.Â
Mr. Kochkodin was a member of the First Evangelical Lutheran church in Philipsburg, was a former P.O. school board member, assistant scout member, former member of the church council and former Judge of Elections in Osceola Mills.
In 1973 he wed Karen T. Taylor who survives. Also surviving are three sons, Michael C. of PA, Gregory R. of Hamburg and Jefferey A. of Houtzdale; two sisters, Christine Weidensaul and her husband Thomas of Ashland, Nancy Roshannon and her husband George of Minersville; two brothers, Edward Zetick and his wife Bonnie of Abington, and Mark Kochkodin and his wife Paulette of Minersville.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 5, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Philipsburg with the Pastor Gerald A. Krum officiating.
Friends will be received on Friday from 6-8 p.m. at the Heath Funeral Home, Osceola Mills.
