CLEARFIELD – Executive board members of the Clearfield Woman’s Club met recently to finalize plans for a bloodmobile on Dec. 11. The blood drive will be held at St. John Lutheran Church, 217 E. Pine St., Clearfield, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
For giving the gift of life, all presenting donors will be entered into drawings for numerous prizes, including an autographed Dirks Bentley cowboy hat, Bon Jovi tickets for a February concert and a Bulova watch valued at $200. For that day only, donors will have an opportunity to win a $100 gift certificate and 4, $25 gift certificates donated by Grice Gun Shop.
Club members will act as escorts and man the canteen, which will feature home-made chili, vegetable beef soup, hot dogs and sauerkraut, donuts, assorted sandwiches, cookies and beverages.
According to blood drive chairman Flo Lutz, the goal is 75 units. All blood types are needed, especially at the holidays. To schedule an appointment, donors can log on at redcrossblood.org and use sponsor code “Clearfield.”
Board members, left to right, are Flo Lutz, Jeanne Urban, Michele Fannin, Barbara Linsenbigler and Sherry Wills.
