University Park, Pa. — Penn State’s Senior Day clash with No. 11 Michigan State on Saturday, Nov. 27 has been set for a noon ET kick in Beaver Stadium. The contest will air on ESPN or ESPN2, the Penn State Sports Network and www.GoPSUsports.com.
A decision on which ESPN network will air the game will be announced Monday.
Eleven Nittany Lion seniors will be introduced before the game in the regular season finale for both squads. Penn State (7-4, 4-3) enters the battle for the Land Grant Trophy having won four of its last five games, while the Spartans (10-1, 6-1) enter the clash looking to earn no worse than a tie for their first Big Ten title since 1990.
Penn State will be making its ninth appearance of the season on an ESPN network. The Nittany Lions will be appearing on TV for the 202nd time in their last 204 games.
Penn State and Michigan State are meeting for the 18th consecutive year. The Nittany Lions won, 42-14, last year in East Lansing to take a 14-12-1 series advantage. The teams will be in different Big Ten divisions starting in 2011 and are not scheduled to meet the next two years.
The Nittany Lions defeated Indiana, 41-24, today at FedEx Field in Landover, Md. behind quarterback Matt McGloin, who threw for a career-high 315 yards. The Spartans rallied from a 28-13 second half deficit to beat Purdue, 35-31, in Spartan Stadium.
