JANESVILLE – Constituents and elected officials gathered to honor state Rep. Camille “Bud” George at the annual Bud George Day Picnic at Mountz Memorial Park.

The event began with picnicking, door prizes, and performances by local bands from Mo Valley, Curwensville, West Branch, and Glendale area high schools.  US Sen. Bob Casey and US Senatorial Candidate Joe Sestack were in attendance and spoke to crowds, along with George.  A special presentation was made by Casey, who awarded a Bronze Star to Joseph Centra in the presence of his family.
A large number of people turned out for the event and George  praised his constituents, saying, “These people represent the most important class, the working class”.
