Applicants seeking enrollment into the Associate’s, Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees available at LHU Clearfield can still submit all necessary materials in time to start courses Aug. 30, 2010. Students have the option to take general education courses including biology, computers, public speaking, political science, and geology, along with many others.

“We encourage recent high school graduates, full-time workers, and people who are looking to begin a new career or to improve their job opportunities to apply for the fall, 2010 semester.” said Dr. Marianne Hazel, Interim Dean of LHU Clearfield. “We offer an affordable education to full-time and part-time students, and we are excited to offer business certificates this fall, as well! We believe that through the practical course work, students will acquire skills to prepare them for today’s work force.”

Registered Nurses who wish to complete their full undergraduate Bachelor’s of Science Nursing degree may do so through the RN to BSN program available online through LHU Clearfield. “The RN to BSN completion program is designed to build on the students’ knowledge and experience as a registered nurse, enhancing skills in critical thinking, case management, and leadership roles. The degree is available online, allowing students flexibility and access,” explained Kim Owens, Nursing Program Department Chair.

Prospective students may apply online 24-hours, seven days a week on the LHU Clearfield Campus Web site for only $25, with a credit card. Paper-based applications are $40. “It is more efficient and affordable to apply online. After the additional required documentation is received, the turnaround time can be as quick as two weeks.” Valerie Dixon, Assistant Director for LHU Clearfield noted.
