Community Days: Day Two

DuBois– It is the final day of DuBois Community Days being held in the city park. Highlights of the day include Western PA’s largest fireman’s parade beginning at 6:00 p.m. and the giant fireworks display beginning at 10:00 a.m. View the entire schedule of events here.

SATURDAY, JUNE 12, 2010
9:00 a.m. DuBois Little League, T-Ball, Softball and Minor League games will get underway and run until ?
p.m.
10:00 a.m. Mark Zimatravich Weightlifting Contest – See Page 31 for details.
11:00 a.m. The First United Methodist Church of DuBois’ Sonny Days Preschool ministry will be offering
train rides for young children near the American Legion Stage. Inside their tent see the Veggie Tale characters
and find out about Vacation Bible School (June 14 -18). Also, anyone interested in signing a card to show their
support for the military, please stop by.
12:00 p.m. Christ the King Manor will sponsor BINGO in the American Legion – All Cash Prizes.
12:00 p.m. Free swimming, water games, and other activities begin at the City Pool until 5 p.m.
12:00 p.m. Various information booths with many types of activities will open and stay open throughout the
day. Corporate sponsors will have displays with lots of free and different activities. Stop by each and every
one to see what’s going on.
12:00 p.m. FUNLAND!!! The Surf Simulator, Wacky World Obstacle Course, Chaos Obstacle Course and
Wax Hands will open for your children’s enjoyment. Sponsored by: Veolia Environmental Services, S & T

12:30 p.m. Magic David will stroll the park for three hours of magical fun. Also, watch out for the

1:00 p.m Unique strolling entertainment at its finest. Time to bang on the drum…. or the bucket to be
exact. Look for super group Drum the Bucket as they stroll the park. Brought to you by Walmart.
1:00 p.m. Parents & children bring your camera, it’s that lovable big red dog Clifford, roaming around the
Edward V. Cherry Amphitheater. Sponsored by DuBois Regional Medical Center.
1:00 p.m. Miller Brothers Furniture along with Martin Foods is proud to sponsor the Big Cat Encounter
located near the Blue Restrooms. Watch how these majestic animals wow the crowd as they perform on
command.
1:30 p.m. Stop by the American Legion Stage and a watch this one of a kind performer as he puts on a
family variety show. Jonathan Burns, flexible comedian, is as good as it gets. This is something that the
entire family shouldn’t miss. Brought to you by DuBois Regional Medical Center.
1:45 p.m. Take a trip back in time to the Doo Wop sound, Pastime Acapella Doo Wop group will perform
on the Edward V. Cherry Amphitheater Stage. Brought to you by Prontock Beer Distributor.
2:00 p.m. Parents & children bring your camera, it’s that lovable big red dog Clifford, roaming around the
Edward V. Cherry Amphitheater. Sponsored by DuBois Regional Medical Center.
2:00 p.m. Keep your eye out for the Tall Cedars of Lebanon Clowns as they do some clowning around in
the park.
2:00 p.m. Can you find Unicycle Sam roaming around the park? If you can, maybe if you ask him really
nice he may give you a Unicycle lesson. Don’t miss this chance to learn from a master. Sponsored by

2:45 p.m. Don’t miss three beautiful sisters from Washington state as they perform on the American
Legion Stage. Watch as they Irish Step Dance and play the fiddle, the Gothard Sister’s are not to be missed.

3:45 p.m. On the American Legion Stage don’t miss a single minute as Joe the Juggler will be performing
his Fire Eating Juggling Show. Brought to you by Palumbo’s Meats and Fort Worth Restaurant.
5:15 p.m. Last time to see the Gothard Sisters, a talented family from Washington performing their multitalented Irish Step and fiddle act. Stop by the American Legion Stage and watch them perform, brought to you by your County Commissioners.

6:00 p.m. When the city’s fire sirens sound, watch as the DuBois Volunteer Fire Department presents
Western PA’s Largest Firemen’s Parade it will begin to roll from the corner of Main and Long to Brady
Street, then down Brady and Liberty Blvd, dispersing at the DuBois Area Middle School parking lot. The
parade will last until 8 p.m. so bring a lawn chair to make yourself comfortable.
8:30 p.m. The most requested act in Community Days history is back!! Veolia Environmental Services
proudly presents Golden Dragon Acrobats located on the Edward V. Cherry Amphitheater. Don’t miss this
opportunity to see such beauty, strength and agility.
8:30 p.m. Sheetz proudly sponsors Dave the Horn Guy a world class entertainer who has performed on
the Jay Leno Show, half time events for many professional sports teams and was a semi-finalist on America’s
Got Talent. You can see Dave performing on the American Legion Stage

9:15 p.m. Listen to the tunes of Hurricane Hano as they perform on the American Legion Stage.
10:00 p.m. Giant Firework’s Display presented by the world famous Zambelli’s, the first family of
fireworks. The fireworks are sponsored by the Parade Committee and Cherry Family and will be launched in
the City Park area. This show will be even better than last year.
10:30 p.m. The park closes after this long and exciting day full of great entertainment.
