Bradford Township Receives Grant for Sewage Enforcement

HARRISBURG – State Rep. Camille “Bud” George, D-74 of Clearfield County, said that Bradford Township will receive a $651 grant for enforcement activities to correct existing sewage disposal problems and prevent future problems.

The grant from the state Department of Environmental Protection reimburses the township for 42.5 percent of the enforcement costs. The money is provided under Act 537 of 1966, the Pennsylvania Sewage Facilities Act, which also reimburses municipalities and local agencies for costs incurred administering on-lot permitting programs.
