ST. MARYS – A smaller than usual turnout of senior wrestlers resulted in only nine bouts for the fourth annual District 9 All-Star Match in the St. Marys Area High School Tuesday night, with the North edging the South 15-12.
Only six schools were represented, with all but two of the competitors hailing from DuBois, Ridgway, Bradford or Clarion.
Wayne Fordoski, who is stepping down after 31 years as St. Marys coach, was in the corner for the North’s first win in the post-season event.
Rob Sintobin of Clarion was the South coach.
