INSPECTOR GENERAL’S OFFICE ENLISTED TO INVESTIGATE COMPLAINTS
HARRISBURG – A newly established hotline will help ensure accountability and transparency of Pennsylvania’s share of American Recovery and Reinvestment funds, Gov. Edward G. Rendell said.
Opportunities for people to provide feedback and report suspected waste, fraud or abuse of funds have always been available on the Recovery Act Web site — www.Recovery.pa.gov. Now, an additional process is in place that goes directly to the Office of Inspector General to report any suspected illegal or irresponsible actions regarding Recovery spending.
“Recovery Act funding is already putting thousands of people to work across the state and Pennsylvanians deserve to know that their Recovery Act tax dollars are being spent responsibly,” said Rendell. “We remain committed to investing the funds with full accountability and transparency.”
“Our Web site already provides a window on the world of Recovery spending in Pennsylvania,” said Chief Accountability Officer Ronald Naples. “This hotline provides yet another avenue for citizens to help ensure that the federal stimulus funding is appropriately invested. We all want stimulus dollars to be well spent so, with continued spending diligence in mind, we are pleased to enlist the expertise of the Inspector General’s office.”

Patterson. “Our trained, professional staff is ready to investigate any complaint we receive.”
