CLEARFIELD – The updated 2009 Clearfield County Tourism Promotion Grant application is now available. Businesses, events and nonprofit organizations are welcome to apply. Eligible projects include marketing and promotion, signage, and other activities that have an ability to bring visitors into Clearfield County for extended stays. Joint projects such as business and community partnerships are encouraged. Ineligible expenses include direct event expenses such as fireworks, prizes, and entertainment.
The Clearfield County Recreation and Tourism Authority and Clearfield County Commissioners would like applicants to be aware that the CCTP application must also be used and criteria followed to apply for Commissioners Discretionary Hotel Tax Funds. The joint application allows applicants to be reviewed by both entities, ensuring maximum application exposure while permitting the best utilization of both pools of funding. The process closely mirrors the single application format used by several state agencies.
Applications for the Commissioners Discretionary Hotel Tax Funds will be accepted year-round. The first CCRTA CCTP round will accept applications until April 15.
Until the application is available online, interested businesses or individuals may receive a copy of the application, supplemental forms and criteria by emailing ccrta@clearfieldco.org. Electronic submissions may be returned to that email address as attachments, with CCTP in the subject line.
Businesses or groups unable to forward supplemental information as outlined in the criteria may mail them to CCTP c/o CCRTA, 12 North Front Street, Clearfield, PA 16830.
