CLEARFIELD – Gregory S. Sheffo, MD, has been appointed chief medical officer for Clearfield Hospital.
In this position, Sheffo works with the hospital’s administrative team and physicians in facilitating continuous process improvement and physician recruitment. He also supports key physician committees and serves as a liaison between the medical staff and administration.
Sheffo received his undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, and attended the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He completed a residency in pediatrics at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C. and subsequently served in the U.S. Army Medical Corps.
Most recently, he earned a Master of Science degree in Healthcare Management from the University of Texas at Dallas.
For the last 12 years, Sheffo has practiced at the Clearfield Center for Children’s Care. He is board certified in pediatrics. He will continue to see patients in the clinic on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
Sheffo and his wife, Karen, have three daughters.
