HARRISBURG – State Rep. Camille “Bud” George, D-74 of Clearfield County, has said that the Clearfield County 4-H will receive a $2,500 state grant to sponsor its third Progressive Agriculture Safety Day program.
The grant is through the state Agriculture Department’s Ag & Rural Youth Program, a competitive program that seeks projects to increase the knowledge and awareness of agricultural and rural issues among the youth in Pennsylvania.
The Clearfield County 4-H received the maximum direct grant.
In other matters, Rep. George said Morris and Covington townships will be awarded Sewage Enforcement Grants of $1,217 and $947, respectively, to pay half of the eligible expenses for sewage enforcement.
The grants are administered by the state Department of Environmental Protection.
