MORRISDALE – A Morrisdale man accused of raping a Morrisdale girl over the weekend has been captured.
According to state police in on Dec. 21 between 2 and 2:30 a.m. 26-year-old Jason Erskine was staying at the residence of a known person. Police allege that he entered the bedroom of a girl and forcefully raped her. He then fled the scene after being confronted by her parents about the incident.
Law enforcment searched for Erskine and eventually found him. Charges were filed through Magisterial District Judge Michael Rudella’s office in Kylertown. He was arraigned before MDJ Richard Ireland in Clearfield and was placed in Clearfield County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bail.
Erskine’s preliminary hearing is scheduled for Dec. 31 at CCJ.
