The DuBois Chapter of the American Red Cross will be holding the following Health and Safety classes at their office at 109 N. Brady St., Suite 2 in DuBois:

Adult CPR on Tuesday, Dec. 2,
First Aid on Tuesday, Dec. 16,
Adult CPR on Tuesday, Jan. 6,
Infant & Child CPR on Tuesday, Jan 13,
First Aid on Tuesday, Jan. 20.

Give the gift of life

The First United Methodist Church will host a blood drive on Wednesday, Nov. 26 from Noon to 6 p.m. All presenting donors at this drive will be entered into a drawing to win one of two Grice Gun Shop $50 gift certificates (cannot be used toward the purchase of a firearm or ammunition). Donors will also be entered into a raffle to win a $25 DuBois Diner gift certificate.

St. Catherine Church will sponsor a Red Cross blood drive on Monday, Dec. 1 from 1 – 7 p.m. All presenting donors will be entered into a raffle to win a pair of tickets to the Reitz Theater and a $20 Luigi’s Ristorante gift certificate. Donors will also receive a Paula Deen apron with recipe card while supplies last.

Donors must be in generally good health, at least 16 years old (with parental consent) and weigh at least 110 pounds. Remember that the need for blood donations increases during the holiday weekend.
