Yes They Did – Local Eatery Cooks Obama Burger to Help Celebrate Election

CLEARFIELD – On Nov. 4 one local eatery helped one area committee celebrate Barack Obama’s historic presidential victory.

At the request of the Clearfield County Democratic Committee, Denny’s Beer Barrel Pub assembled a special hamburger to commemorate the victory.

Cook Phil Simon said the burger took around four hours to cook and 15 minutes to assemble. He baked the bun and colored it using a stencil his mother, artist Patricia Lee Simon prepared.

“It turned out great,” said Phil.

Denny’s Beer Barrel Pub is world-renowned for their big burgers. To check out their Web site click here.
